Fall back into your Pilates routine!

Ladies, we hope the End Summer in Style challenge helped kick start your fall workout routine! It’s especially important to stay healthy during the approaching hectic and busy holiday season when you have little or no time to relax. We brainstormed a few simple tips to help you stay in shape this season:

1. Set goals and have a matching plan!: Your goals should be the basis of your plan. Register for classes at the studio at the beginning of every week to help you map out your most convenient workout times.

2. Everyone cheats… on their diet that is!: It’s bound to happen, you favorite seasonal meals always find a way to sneak into your next holiday party. Is there really a way to avoid them? Probably not, so enjoy a small taste of the things you like the most and limit your portions. Moderation is key!

3. Never forget to drink water!: Even though the weather is getting cooler and you might be less thirsty, it’s always a good idea to stay hydrated. Water gives you a sense of fullness and if you are properly hydrated you are less likely to overeat.

So what do you think?! Is there anything you are doing this upcoming holiday season to stay on top of your fitness game? We’d love to know!

As the end of August is inching closer so are the final days of the End Summer in Style Challenge with prAna.  We are so proud of all the hard work that everyone has been putting into this and we hope you are all feeling very accomplished!  If you have your eyes on the prAna prize but are not in the lead, don’t you worry.  The competition isn’t over until August 31st, this can still be anybody’s game.  Remember, you can always go to more than one class a day 🙂 Here is a little look at last week’s scoreboard..

Hydrate Your Health

If you want to make the most out of your pilates workout, water is essential! A healthy amount of water consumption is approximately six to eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day, but if you are working out it needs to be more! By the time you recognize that you are thirsty your body is most likely already dehydrated! Water helps muscle development and gives you more energy during and after workouts. Don’t think you will be able to make drinking water a habit? No worries, we found a great tool to help you jump on the H20 bandwagon. Marking a water bottle with times throughout the day can be a great way to keep yourself on track. 🙂
